    Why plan ahead
    Holiday parks, beaches and bush walks raise parasite risk. A little planning keeps your pet comfortable and protected so you can relax.

    Your 7-day countdown

    • Day 7: Check your stock. Make sure you have the right pack size for your pet’s current weight.

    • Day 5: If you use a long-acting product, confirm the next due date covers your whole trip.

    • Day 3: Wash bedding and vacuum the car. Start a tick check habit each evening.

    • Day 1: Dose today if you are due in the next week. For spot-ons, apply to clean, dry skin and let it dry fully before travel. For chews, give with a meal.

    • Travel day: Pack products in your day bag so you do not miss a dose.

    • Your pet’s parasite product in the correct weight band

    • Tick remover or fine tweezers

    • Spare collar tag with your mobile number

    • Clean bedding or a washable throw for cabins and tents

    • Poop bags, wipes and a small rubbish bag

    • A towel for beach days

    • Do a quick nose-to-tail tick check each night. Focus on the head, ears, neck and between toes.

    • If you use spot-ons, follow the label on bathing or swimming wait times. Keep the application site dry until then.

    • Keep food sealed and bins closed to reduce scavenging and worm risk.

    • Treat all pets in the group on time to prevent bounce-back.
